Access and Referral Helpline
("Helpline")
Call the Helpline for information
about substance use treatment
programs and services in Alameda
County.
What happens when I call?
You will participate in a 15 minute
phone screening, with a clinical
staff member to discuss your
concerns. The staff member will
ask a series of questions to asses
your needs and determine which
type of treatment is appropriate for
you. An in- person screening may
be requested.
The Helpline staff will provide
ongoing care navigation to those
who are admitted into residential
treatment or recovery residence
services.

Continuum of Care
Alameda County's Substance Use
Continuum of Care provides the
following types of treatment
services.
Outpatient Treatment: Up to 19
hours of services per week,
including group and individual
counseling.
Recovery Residence: Sober living
homes while in outpatient
treatment provided off site.
Residential Treatment: Live in
program with on site treatment
Withdrawal Management: 24/7
clinically managed detoxification
and sobering supports.
Opioid Treatment (OTP): Detox
and maintenance medication
assisted treatment, and counseling.
