This method is the most effective way to support people who want to work. We welcome eligible individuals ready to pursue employment and immediately start their career search. We also partner with Mental Health providers and institutions like the California Department of Rehabilitation(DOR), to assist people with attaining their employment and education goals. Your team would include: An Employment Specialist They work closely with you to find job opportunities that match your interests. They connect with employers and assist with skill-building and confidence-building. Once you start a job, they can provide side-by-side support and ongoing guidance. A Benefits Counselor This counselor helps participants understand how working affects your benefits. They provide guidance on optimizing benefits while working A Rehabilitation Counselor/Behavioral Health Clinician These specialists help coordinate and provide case management services to assist individuals with linkage to resources and connection to medical and mental health providers. You may qualify for the Vocational Program if: 1. You are a resident of Alameda County, 2. You are motivated to work, 3. You have active Medi-Cal, and 4. You have a Mental Health Diagnosis that impacts your ability to find and maintain employment and education. Vocational Program We’re Building Futures One Job at A Time. You say you want to work?
