and stamping. Plans are to be drawn to ¼ inch per foot scale, containing but not limited to the following:
• Hood Worksheet
• Plan View:
o Outline of exhaust hood over cooking equipment
o Clearances around equipment & to walls
o Exhaust & make-up air fans on roof
o Exhaust & make-up air ducts with details to the fans on the roof
o Make-up air diffusers on ceiling
o Make & model numbers of equipment & fans
o All dimensions of equipment & ducts
• Front & side elevations showing:
o Cooking equipment
o Exhaust Hood overhang
o Duct elbows and fans
• Type & gauge of metal used in exhaust hood & ducts
• Specify if exhaust hood is Type I, Type II, Listed, non-canopy, compensating, etc.
• Name, address & phone number of facility & exhaust hood designer
• Submit one set of manufacturer’s specification sheets for: Cooking Equipment, Exhaust & Make-
up air fans with performance charts, Listing card
• Plans must conform to the California Mechanical Code
