California law requires that at least one employee at each food facility be food safety certified by passing an approved examination The certified employees can be the owner, manager, or an employee. The certified person is responsible by law for teaching other employees to use proper food handling techniques. Where can I get trained? Participants are encouraged to review the workbook prior to attending the class. Bring the workbook to class! The workbook will be sent to the mailing address provided on this registration form once payment has cleared. The book will be mailed upon receipt of registration payment. Call (510) 567-6724 for questions regarding the class or workbook. If an alternate student is sent, an extra workbook may be purchased at our office for $30.00. For recertification, include a copy of your expired food safety manager certificate. Re-test is only available for class participants who registered for our class and did not pass the exam. Cost of the re-test is $38.00. If you want to sit in on the class at no extra charge, you must pre-register. Call (510) 567-6724 to pre-register. Tests are administered in English unless otherwise noted. Make selection for Chinese, Spanish,Korean, or Japanese if needed. A 15-day advance notice is required.
