Re: Regional Medical Center of San Jose – recent verification as a Level II Trauma Center
The Alameda County EMS Agency was recently notified by the American College of Surgeons, that Regional Medical
Center of San Jose underwent a review by the ACS Committee of Trauma and has been verified as a Level II Trauma
Center. We appreciate the commitment of Regional Medical Center of San Jose to improving the care of our trauma
patients.
For patients meeting Trauma Patient Criteria originating within the southern portion of Alameda County, Paramedics and
EMT’s are expected to transport these patients to the closest appropriate Trauma Center.

Regional Medical Center of San Jose (Adult)
Stanford University Medical Center (Adult)
Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (Pediatric)
