HomeMy WebLinkAboutinstructions-targetHOUSING ASSISTANCE FUND Instructions for Requesting Home Furnishings and Household Items from Target Applicants and service providers should complete this process together. Please remember that only items on the ‘Approved Home Furnishings and Household Items’ list can be requested and the total cost of the requested items, including any shipping costs and taxes (tax rates may vary based on location), cannot exceed the approved amount. Applicants can request items from up to 2 of the approved vendors. See the Home Furnishing and Household Item vendor list. 1) Go to www.target.com. 2) Click on Registries & Lists on the banner. 3) Scroll down and click on Registry & Wish List. 4) Click Create a custom wish list button. 5) Add names and contact information to the Wishlist. Applicants first three initials for first and last name (e.g., AmaOls). Add the service providers first, last name, and email so they may assist in the process (e.g., Larry Austin Laustin@bayareacs.org). 6) Add a future date and first three first and last name initials. 7) Add applicants name, address, phone number, and necessary special delivery instructions. Click Private. 8) Click Add Items. 9) Find an item you want and click the Add item button. 10) Continue shopping and adding items to your wish list until you have added the items needed and shown on the approved items to your wish list. 11) Go to your wish list to review the items by clicking on View my wish list. 12) Add, manage, and track wish list purchases utilizing the top ribbon. 13) Review the items to ensure all the items you want are on your wish list, the quantity is correct, and there are no additional items on your wish list. You will also need to add the cost of the items to ensure your request does not exceeding the approved amount. Be sure to include taxes and shipping costs in your calculation. 14) Click on more and click Share your wish list. 15) Copy the URL and paste or screenshot to send to the service provider. The service provider then sends the link to the Housing Assistance Fund staff along with the address where the items should be sent and necessary special delivery instructions (e.g., gate code #1234).
