State Council on Developmental Disabilities Regional Advisory Committee Meeting: The next Bay Area SCDD RAC can be found on the SCDD website. DDC Membership: Board membership requirements include living or working in Alameda County, having a serious interest in the developmental disabilities system and a commitment to attend meetings. Board members are also encouraged to share in the committee work of the Council. The Membership Committee encourages interested applicants to attend two or three meetings prior to application. Board applications can be found on the website. Resources ♦ Highland/Eastmont Teledentistry program: The Office of Dental Health has a teledentistry program for children and adults with IDD. Video visits and initial assessments can be conducted virtually in the home. Eligibility is for those 1) on Medi-Cal; 2) Smartphone with a camera. This program will be held at Berkeley Tuolumne Camp, near Yosemite National Park, on June 29th through July 2nd. Priority registration for a Very Special Family Camp Weekend is February 2nd through 8th. ♦ Project Search Stoneridge Creek | For information on how to apply, please contact Curtis John at jjohn@eastbayinnovations.org or (510)618-1580 x15 Project SEARCH is a one-year program that provides education and on-site training to prepare individuals with disabilities to be work ready. Interns participating in Project SEARCH report each day to the host business, learn employability skills in the classroom, and job skills while participating in three paid internships during the year. Project Search Stoneridge Creek is located in Pleasanton, Interns will develop skills in customer service, dining and human services working in the following areas: Food Prep and plating, Dining set-up, Preparing Menus, Building Maintenance, Laundry attendant, and Custodian. Applicants must be at least 22 years of age by the specific program start date OR 18 years of age if graduated with a high school diploma. Must have an active case with the Regional Center of the East Bay.
